Troubleshooting HaradaLifeGoals

AI board generation fails or times out

Generate Board spins and then shows an error message instead of a finished board, or generation never completes.

  1. Check your internet connection — board generation calls a remote server and needs connectivity.
  2. Wait a few seconds and tap Generate Board again. The error message under the goal field is often a temporary rate limit or server hiccup, and your goal text and category hint stay filled in.
  3. During onboarding, if AI generation keeps failing, the app automatically creates a blank board using your goal as the title — open it in Board Editor and fill in pillars and actions yourself.
  4. If you’ve already used your one free AI board, you’ll see the Harada Pro paywall instead of the form — upgrade to Pro, or use a template or blank board instead.

Purchases or Harada Pro features aren’t unlocking

You bought Harada Pro, reinstalled the app, or switched devices, but the app still shows free-tier limits.

  1. Open Settings and tap Restore Purchases (also available on the paywall itself).
  2. Make sure you’re signed in to the Apple ID you purchased with.
  3. If restore reports no purchases found, check Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions on the device to confirm the subscription is still active.

Daily reminder notifications aren’t arriving

Daily Reminder is turned on in Settings, but no notification shows up at the scheduled time.

  1. Open Settings and confirm Daily Reminder is on and the time is set the way you want.
  2. If you see “Notifications disabled in Settings,” you previously denied the permission — tap Open Settings and turn on Notifications for Harada Life Goals in iOS Settings.
  3. iOS only shows the system permission prompt once. Toggling the in-app switch again can’t re-ask it — you have to grant permission from system Settings.

Home Screen or Lock Screen widget looks out of date

The widget shows an old board, or a habit you completed in the app still shows as incomplete on the widget.

  1. Make sure you’ve opened the app at least once and have a board created — the widget reads the same on-device data the app writes.
  2. Toggling a habit directly on the widget refreshes it immediately. Toggling inside the app doesn’t push an immediate refresh to the widget — it catches up on its own schedule, by the next day at the latest.
  3. The widget always shows your most recently modified board — if that’s not the one you expect, open or edit the board you want featured.

Apple Watch app is empty or missing habits

Quick Log on the Watch shows “No Boards,” or is missing habits you can see on iPhone.

  1. The Watch app gets its boards through iCloud sync, not a direct phone connection — make sure you’re signed in to iCloud on both your iPhone and your Apple Watch.
  2. Give it a little time after creating or editing a board on the phone; sync to the Watch isn’t instant.
  3. Quick Log only lists actions marked as habits — if your board doesn’t have any yet, mark some as habits in Board Editor.

Boards aren’t syncing between your devices

Boards you create on one device don’t show up on another (iPhone, iPad, Mac, or Watch).

  1. Open Settings and check the Sync row — it shows the app’s current iCloud status.
  2. Make sure you’re signed in to iCloud and iCloud Drive is turned on for this device (Settings app > [your name]).
  3. Without an iCloud account, Harada Life Goals stores boards on-device only — sign in to iCloud and reopen the app to start syncing.

Board export or import fails

Export Board or Import Board from File shows an error alert instead of completing.

  1. For export, make sure you’ve picked a board in the “Board to Export” list first — the Export Board button stays disabled until you do.
  2. For import, confirm the file is a board JSON file created by this app’s Export Board — unrelated or corrupted files will fail to parse.
  3. If import says it can’t access the file, try again — the app is only granted permission to read the file for the duration of the import.
