How it works
Pace is time per distance, speed is distance per time, so one is 60 divided by the other: 10 km/h is 6:00 per km, and 6 mph is 10:00 per mile.
Incline
The flat-ground estimate uses the ACSM running equation, where each 1% of grade adds about 4.5% to the oxygen cost of running at the same belt speed. It's an estimate of effort, not a promise of race pace.
Goal time
Pick a distance and enter a target finish time. The tool gives the belt speed that holds that pace for the whole distance.
